Sunday

Josh was very sleepy all day, made me worry about how the night would be. He is mixed up between day and night. He is off all the IV meds except one antibiotic, everything else is going in his feeding tube. He was able to sit up in the cardiac chair for almost 2 hrs. He kept moving his legs up and down, I had him alternate feet and kick up to my hand which was about 8 inches above, he did good. He had a hard time holding his head up so he got a soft neck collar to help. The doctor said that it would be best for Josh to move to a long term acute rehab, maybe even this week. It is still a hospital setting with nurses instead of aids, which he will need in order to take care of his wounds and respiratory needs. The only down side is there is not one here in St George. We would have to travel to SLC, this was not something that I had thought would happen. I want him to have the best care and get better as fast as he can and this seems to be the way.

It is not really making sense in my head how this is supposed to work. How can I be in two places at once, my kids need me and Josh needs me. So many hard decisions to make, I want so much to be with all of them. We should know today or tomorrow what the plan is and when things will happen. Josh is getting a hair cut today, I brought my clippers in so that while he is sitting in the chair I can tackle his fro, it's getting long. I finally got my very own Intermountain Health care mug, I have earned it! Well lots of thinking and praying to be done, Love and thanks to all, Denise

  3. Noticed Josh was wearing a Texas Rangers hat. Is he a fan? Has he been able to watch the World Series? Just curious. Know he was watching Nascar.
How about Ford telling Trevor Bayne not to push a Chevy (Jeff Gordon) to victory at "Dega? What a low class Busch League move to make a deal under yellow and then bail. Would hate to be a Bayne fan right now.

Hard to fly the blue oval banner today.
